omg, i have a laptop that is now trash but I need the files in it. Im getting one of these!

  23. MrCTD1977 says:

I had one of these for 2 years and one day, it just decided not to turn on. Luckily the hard drive was safe. Not sure if these can be fixed. I am assuming it was something to do power supply.

  24. psphacker8 says:

@ljuarez714 Just make sure you get a 2.5 inch enclosure. The one shown here is for 3.5 inch desktop hard drives.

  25. yunjizzle says:

Nexstar 3 model NST-360 SU uses SunPlus SPIF215A chipset in usb-sata host bridge.
SPIF215A isn only compliant with SATA rev 1 (1.5 Gb/s). It should never have been used in an eSATA enclosure.
It’s IMPOSSIBLE to meet the 3.0Gb/s standard of SATA rev 2 this “eSATA” enclosure model due to their shameful implementation of this chipset in their product.

Make informed decisions to avoid being swindled.
