Yeah, I know I am probably not using the correct words, but is there a way that i can make a tower of internal hard drives be kind of like an external hard drive, except with more storage? I know that I have heard of people doing it, but have never found the process? Any ideas on what kind of transfer cords or storage I need for this idea?

I’m kind of confused. I understand it allows for more storage, but how exactly? I have a macbook pro with only 250 GB hard drive, and my itunes library is going to go up to 3,000-4,000 songs. If i get an external hard drive, can i still have those songs on my itunes even though the file will be saved on the external hard drive? Or would it cause for it to work improperly and force me to delete the song?
