How can I verify iPhoto files successfully copied to external hard drive using Time Machine?

I backed up my entire macbook using time machine on an external hard drive. Now I’d like to make sure it worked. I cannot find the individual photo files on the external hard drive. Where are they? What is the directory information? I’d like to be able check for certain file names on the external hard drive to confirm they all have been backed up but nothing is coming up in my search.

How to copy/paste using External hard drive with Macbook??

OK … So I am trying to save files from my macbook onto my external hard drive. I select to copy the files from my macbook, but whenever I try to paste them into the external hard drive folder nothing happens and pasting doesn’t even seem to be an option …Is there another way to save them to my external drive?
Drag and drop is not working … I am not seeing any progress bar, nor are the files being added to the drive …
