how do i make the external hard drive i bought my main hard drive?
so i was running out of space on my computer, so i bought an external hard drive call My Passport, which is 250 GB. i literally have no space left on my computer, and i need more. i installed the external hard drive and tried downloading iTunes, but it wont let me because it says theres not enough space on the disk. how do i make it so everything i download now downloads onto my new hard drive?

Even though it is possible, you should NOT use an external drive to install programs onto.. it should NOT be used as your main drive.
I suggest that you clear up space by moving some space-hogging files to the external drive. backups or media files (music, movies) are a good place to start.
